News from Montgomery [1.10.16]

Written by Lois Lumbra—The weatherman was right on about the rain coming for today, but here in Montgomery we do not have the hard winds, and that we are thankful.   Nearly all the snow is gone here in the Village, we will probably be a skating ring if this freezes.

Mike and Linda Carpenter and children Sydney and Cole went to Connecticut during the New Year weekend to bring Linda’s Mom  (Theresa Perry)  back to her home in Enosburg; after spending the Christmas holiday with daughter Carol Ann.

Our 16 year old Great Grandson Jayden Royer of Edenmills, Vt. has tried out for the Under Armor National Baseball Team and made the team.  He is needing donations to help with the expense of this trip.  He has signed up on the computer  at  www.gofundme.com and donations can be sent to help fund him.   Jayden has excelled in sports and played for Lamoille Union High School this past year and the team won the State in baseball.  Jayden is the son of Lorin Royer and Samantha Elkins Royer, and his grandparents are Rocky and Lori Elkins and Andre and Veronica DeSaintPhalle.   It will be greatly appreciated and I sincerely Thank-You!!!  P.S.  Jayden will be going to Bradenton, Florida, this month, will be stay at the Pittsburg Pirates Training Facility working with professional coaches and players.  I will let you know how well he does, OK.

1/9/16, I accompanied Dick and Diane Bocian to Morrisville, we went shopping at the Dollar Tree, before attending the movie “Revenant” at the Bijou Theater. It was great fun being with this couple and we had a nice afternoon.  Thank-You!!!
