9/20, Seven members of the Green Mountain Ruby Reds attended a luncheon at the Abbey Restaurant, where the Vermont Red Had Queen Debbi Gilbert came to talk with other Red Hat groups and wanted to get to meet all the groups throughout Vermont. There were eight other groups that attended. Each group was asked to speak and let other groups know of what they might do as a group and then there was prizes that were given out by calling ticket numbers, and their was a 50/50 drawing, and Fredda Ploof from our group won the door prize. Everyone had a nice time and the meeting ended at 2:10 p.m.
Once i was back home, my sister-in-law Roberta Martin, her daughter-my niece Pamela and her hubby Scott Harris were here in town. They were going up to Jay Peak and see what had been going on since they was last up there. Scott helped with the design of the golf course. There were many changes, the huge hotel and all the buildings, its amazing!!! Scott got a golf cart and we all went around the number 9-18th holes and now I appreciate the golfer more, its HUGE and we were riding in a golf cart. What a work out just going from hole to hole, It was so beautiful with all the winding roads, bridges, places to stop and get water, and all the Fall cornstalks, pumpkins and mums that were put up, just AMAZING!!! I know I enjoyed our two hour tour and we had a wonderful time.
