4/23.. It’s a quiet morning here in town, I was up early to see all the thick fog outside and at 32 degrees. Now that the sun is out it is clearing. Suppose to be a nice day and warming up by afternoon; we just never know what will be, as we are so close to the Canadian Border. We get a kick out of those few words from the weatherman, “up near the Canadian Border.” Here it is after 3 p.m. and no complaints about this day, it has been gorgeous and I have been out taking some of the mulch off the flower beds, they just loved getting out from under that mulch and perked right up. Penny stopped by and gave me a helping hand and that was nice. Sonny put the cover on the swing and before coming in to finish this column I had a little rest in the swing with Willee (our little dog) He enjoyed it also.
4/16..Lorraine St. Onge has returned home, after spending the winter months at her Florida residence. Sure has been a change for her, but hopefully the warm weather will be with us SOON!!! 4/23.. Her sister Gertrude Austin came to visit this afternoon.
4/18..Jay Adams returned home after spending a few days with his sister Lou in Massachusetts during the Easter week, and while there enjoyed visiting his niece on the Cape.
I have been told of Moose sightings this week, Linda and Merle Van Gieson have seen a huge one on there property and Howard and Kathy King have watched one down near the Monty farm on route 118. Guess that’s not all that came back to the Van Gieson pond, the pair of Canadian Geese and one extra that was not welcome by the geese couple and it flew away; then the ducks came and a fox was on the hunt, with no luck of getting any of them.
