News from Montgomery [12.10.17]

Yes, that is right no news only events coming our way, and the one that is a great family outing is the Special Holiday event at the Montgomery Historical Society starting a 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. this Saturday, December 16. Come and join the fun!!!

This will probably be my last Montgomery News Column for this Year, I have enjoyed doing this for everyone.

Here is what I wrote up this afternoon for all of you..12/10/17

The Thanksgiving holiday has come and gone,
We had our first snow fall covering our lawn.
Many flocked to the stores for the Black Friday Sales,
Mostly women go but some drag along their males.
For it’s the hunting season during this time of year,
Folks young and old like getting their deer.

Then December comes in like a lamb,
The weather is never to cold for peanut-butter and jam.
It’s also so the beginning of our Advent season,
Our precious Savior Jesus Christ is the reason.

We decorate our homes with wreaths and lights,
And keep them lit during our winter night.
We take time to enjoy the many holiday events,
The Church services, the school plays , we are so glad we went.

So many-many years ago Baby Jesus was born,
We all have been blessed on the Christmas morn.

So take time during this Blessed month of December,
Give Thanks and Praise, a time to remember.
God sent His son Jesus to obey all His Written law,
Please Pray for Peace, Love and Joy; May God Bless us all.

Merry Christmas to all that read and enjoy this Column. I have enjoyed doing it for you. My Love To all.. Lois Lumbra
