News from Montgomery [8.26.18]

8/10.  Howard and Kathy King and Kathy’s sister Geraldine Jewett went to Branch Brook Campsite with their camper in Thomaston, Ct., to visit family and friends while there for the week had visitors everyday.  Granddaughter Denielle Gamelin and her daughter Carter Mulville and her friend Ryder Mulville and her boyfriend Conor Mulville, and their dog Soot.  Visits from granddaughter Devon Gamelin, daughter Leslie G., Daughter Lori Young and her husband Kenny.  Granddaughter Michelle Young and her boyfriend Michael Boucher, her  daughter Morgan Young, son Cameron Young, Denielle’s friend from N.Y. Katherine Jlainer. Kathy’s daughter  Lisa and Anthony Sebastiano and Kathy’s niece Pat Blasl; Howard’s sister Judy and husband Howie Sears.   Then Sat. Aug. 18 we came north, and went to Eden Lake and left the camper for Lori, Kenny and Morgan Cameron until Wed. 8/22.  Saturday night 8/18 they had cousins visiting.  Tuesday, 8/21 Howard fried up some trout for us and Kathy’s brother Wayne and wife Evelyn Jewett came and enjoyed the evening with us. We all enjoyed the week away and will try and make this an annual event/vacation.
Therese Begnoche and her sister Cecile went to Kingsey Falls  Quebec for a Nadeau reunion.  From there we went to St George de Beauce to visit an Aunt, then to Lenoxville to see an Uncle and Cousins, then onto ScotsTown where we lived as young children for nine years.  We came back through Canaan to see another Uncle. We had a very nice four days touring and visiting.
8/22,  Sonny and I had a surprise visit from my sister Maureen and husband Ed Patterson from Tennessee, they were up to Ed’s hunting camp for a few weeks in Duxbury, Vt.  While they are in Vermont they plan of visiting family and friends and plan on attending the wedding of our niece in September before returning to TN.
8/23 Linda and Merle Van Gieson enjoyed an afternoon visit with her brother Sonny and  his wife Theresa Towle in St.Albans, and their daughter Jane Towle was up from Virginia visiting her parents.  They enjoyed their visit and lunch together, and then played cards for awhile before returning home.
8/25..It was a busy day here Saturday with the Farmers Market, Trinkets and Treasures Lawn Sale, Lawn and Porch Sale on Route 118. it was a nice warm
day and every one got out and enjoyed the sales and weather.
Sincere Sympathy is extended to June Abramowitz in the loss of her brother James Marshall of Essex.  (May the Love, Prayers and Support of your Friends help during this difficult time, God Bless!!)
The Montgomery Center for the Arts has the pleasure to invite you to the Opening “DALLIANCES.”   An exhibition featuring a dialogue between Art and The Written Word,!!  Featuring the Creative Genius of Jerry Johnson, Tony Whedon and Gustav Verderber.  The Event will take place Saturday, September 8th at 6 p.m. at the MCA, #2 Mountain Road, Montgomery Center, Vt.  Admission is Free.  Wine and Cheese will be served.  Gallery hours will be Sat.-Sunday 12 till 4 during the month of September for more information email  montgomerycenterforthearts.com

**A young couple invited their elderly pastor for Sunday dinner. “Today will be a perfect day to have that Old Goat for dinner!!”**   It has been a nice Sunday afternoon, a little rain and now the sun is trying to come again.  Hope
