9/2   A new month begins and out on the hills some of the leaves are turning their Fall colors.  Today it’s cloudy, cool and comfortable, a nice Sunday afternoon.  Maybe we are in for a nice month of September. A time for harvest is soon approaching, the field corn is super nice with all the hot humid weather we had and many things have done well during this growing season.  Its also bear hunting season.
8/28..Rosalia and Andre Labier  recently celebrated their 40 wedding anniversary and their daughter Taini’s Baby Shower in one memorable event.  The highlight of the celebration was Rosalia cutting off the top of her middle finger while closing the door of Aunt Fran’s car.  Her middle finger now becomes the shortest finger.  (So sorry to hear about this R. That is Terrible)  Hope by now you are getting healed and used to it)  Believe it or not the trip to the emergency room was fun as we both kept the attending nurse laughing with our jokes.  Life is what you make of it.
8/29..  The new 2018-2019 School year has opened and now its once again time to remember the children are out waiting for their School Bus.  Be careful also of
the buses stopping to pick up the children along the main roads as when you see the flashing lights come on “DO NOT PASS THE BUS.”  This seems to be a big worry for many bus drivers as we hear about it on the nightly news.
8/30 the Quilting Circle “Nimble thimble” took their lunch and met at Cheryl’s Henveld barn on the Longley Bridge  Road.  The ladies worked on waterproof pounches for the abused women’s shelter. Shirley Duso mentioned the pillowslips they usually make for the Holidays will not be needed this year and they were thinking of different ways of using them.  The ladies have 22 sunshine quilts made of their goal of 25.  The ladies had a wonderful afternoon fulfilling their artistic works that they are so talented in creating..  Thanks to Cheryl for having us!!!
9/1..Butch Armour from Delaware was up visiting his Aunt Susie and Uncle Dick Ewins, Paul and Dorothy Lamoureux, Aunt Grace and Bill Jones, Aunt Joanne Kane and Aunt Maggie Elkins they all got together and had a wonderful Pot-Luck luncheon and visit at Ewins home in West Berkshire. (Butch is the son of Helen Lamoureux Armour of Deleware.)
