By Lois Lumbra —I am late getting started today. . . just the way it went for me. But here I am ready to type away for a few minutes: Had a restless night with that wind howling around here, but have to be thankful — it was nothing compared to what happened in the states just the west of us. It is so horrific and so fast, destroying everything in its path. I cringe just seeing the pictures. But the pastor they talked with had so much faith and expressed himself so well. . .

Lois was born in 1941, growing up in Fletcher, Vermont, where she attended a one-room school for her first 8 years. Lois later married Francis “Sonny” Lumbra in 1959 and raised a happy family.
The two started out in Montgomery on North Hill at the dairy farm where Sonny was born, moving to their home in the village in 1965 where they both live to this day.
