By Lois Lumbra — Hello, I’m back! It was nice to be missed by my loyal readers of this column. I did not do a column last week 3/3, I saved the space for all the Town Meeting Reports.
3/6, It’s a beautiful Sunday afternoon with lots of sunshine and the temp is up in the 40’s. Hopefully we will get rid of all this icy mess around our homes and streets. Our Pastor Ed Sorrell and his wife Judy were missed at Church today, they were celebrating their anniversary. Merle Van Gieson filled in for Pastor Ed and did a fabulous message. Thanks Merle!!! On 2/29, Cordy von Conta celebrated her birthday, and we wanted to make it real special for her. Her Church family gave her a beautiful pink azalea, and everyone brought in a card and I had emailed several people that knew Cordy and had it put in my column as well, so she would get lots of cards, and not only cards but phone calls rang out most the day wishing her a Happy Birthday. She emailed me to say, “ I want to Thank all those who sent me birthday greetings for February 29, in response to Lois’s “Montgomery Column,” the week of 2/26. My appreciation and gratitude for helping me celebrate my ‘leapin’ 18th birthday and making it so SPECIAL!!!” XXOO Cordelia von Conta
During the month of February Lynda Pittman Cluba went to help out her folks that live in So. Carolina and has returned home. She also got to see other family members while there.
2/27, Our two daughter’s Veronica and Penny came to our house in the forenoon and we all had a nice visit. Veronica was meeting her three friends at Bernie’s Restaurant for lunch. They get together a few time a year to celebrate Christmas and their birthday’s. Veronica, Barbara Burns, Stephanie Brunton and Nancy Martinson have been friends since high school.
Jody Walker took her three children, Connor, Liam and Ava on a tour of Quebec City during their School Spring break. Once back home they had to gather sap and boil. Mom gets out to help also, the children had friends come and help gather also. They had their pails filled and dragging all the sap home on their sled. It’s a great family team.
Stacey and Randy St.Onge and their children, Maddie, Thomas and Alex spent their School Spring break at their Florida home. The children all had an extra day off from school because of the storm that hit the area on Wednesday 3/2.
To the Family and dear Friends of Terry Boucher, Sincere Sympathy from your friends at this time of sadness. God Bless You All.
Happy Birthday to: C.J. Caforia, Isaiah Snider 3/8, Kevin Scheffler, Melannie Levine 3/11, Petra Vogel 3/12. Stuart Pratt 3/14, Jennifer Domina, Ryland Purrier 3/15, Devon Lumbra, Annie Purrier, Marshall Abramowitz 3/16, Aiden Smith 3/18.
Anniversary Wishes to Paul Fernald and Sue Delear 3/16.
I try to avoid things that make me fat, like scales, mirror and photographs. If life is a journey, mine is between the fridge and computer.
Enjoy the warmer weather this week and keep smiling life is great.
