By Lois Lumbra — Let it snow… let it snow… this month is bringing with it lots of snow. Maybe it will be good for the sugar makers.

Connie McFarland and daughter Nancy and husband Craig Benson and their three children Clay, Travis and Alyssa; daughter Jane and her husband Joe Sanpetrino; son Raymond McFarland all went to Disneyworld in Florida for a week. They stayed at the Boardwalk Hotel, while there the children had plenty of fun on the rides. Connie told me the temperature was in the 80’s and no rain while they were there. She added that it was her sixth time to Disneyworld. Just to be with her children and grandchildren was so enjoyable and everyone had a marvelous time.

Pamela J. Marshall attended a beautiful Jack and Jill Baby Shower for her niece Kelsey Jacobs and Jesse Wells on Saturday, March 10, held at the American Legion Hall in Enosburg. A very special guest went to her own shower with her Mommy and Daddy, there they announced the arrival of their daughter Raelynn born on February 20, she weighed 5 lbs-12.4 ounces and was 18 inches long, YES, she decided to come early, she is absolutely beautiful! The Baby Shower was given by Kelsey’s Mom Louise and Sister Ashley Jacobs and Jesse’s Mom Kim Willequer and Friend Taylor Randall, doing the beautiful decorations and delicious refreshments. The cake was made by Greenwood Bakery in Richford. Kelsey and Jesse received many-many adorable gifts for their little daughter Raelynn. It was all so wonderful and appreciative, everyone enjoyed great afternoon, and got to meet their little daughter. (Ribbons and Bows and sweet baby toes…Congratulations on the birth of your sweet baby girl)

An elderly man went to listen to a HEALTH CARE expert give his version of all the foods we should not eat. After his speech was finished he asked the people there; “can anyone here tell me which food causes the most grief and suffering for years after eating it.?” The elderly man stood up and said, “WEDDING CAKE.”

This is all folks..enjoy. This week is Corned-beef and Cabbage week for many of us..YUMMY! Remembering , when I grew up, my Mom and Dad processed all our own meats and the taste was so much different than what we purchase at the super market today and CHIPPED BEEF. We were a large family and had our own beef, pork, eggs, poultry. Amazing!!!
