By Lois Lumbra — 3/26/17… Its rather a beautiful afternoon after a cold start to the day, we had just 10 degrees this morning and this afternoon its 45 and the maple sap is about ready to drip.
3/15/17..Little Cayden Stanley decided this is the day for me to be born, Yep, right during the blizzard Avery had to take Megan to the hospital. Lucky Dad to be has a truck with a plow if he needed to use it. But I guess that didn’t happen. Congratulations to the new proud parents Avery and Megan Stanley of a handsome son Cayden Jay. He has made several people proud, maternal grandparents Dan and Jackie Larivee of Franklin, Paternal grandparents Tom and Karen Stanley of Town, and Jim and Terry Poirier of E. Berkshire. ( How sweet- a baby boy!! May he fill your home with joy. Best wishes with love to you all).
3/21/17..Our March 500 Card Club met at the lovely home of Jeannette Sylvester in St. Albans. She had invited everyone to come for lunch, she had prepared a delicious corn chowder, choice of sandwiches, tea, coffee or punch, and a lemon dessert to end the meal. Everyone was glad to see one another and fellowship before we started playing card at 12:50. There were a few frustrating hands dealt but not everyone had a bidding hand, you might say we were holding 10 cards that were not much help to anyone. Our hostess Jeannette had the high score for the afternoon, (4260) second high was Connie McFarland (3140), most horses went to Linda Van Gieson (4), and the lowest score went to Sue Peters (1830). All the while we were playing cards the snow kept falling, not a lot but it was snowing. In the absence of Jo Cota, Rita St.Onge came and played for her, and sub for Sue Cherrier was Roberta Morin. Therese Begnoche will host the April Club at her home.

A bad combination, 100 horse power under the hood and no horse sense behind the wheel. Automobiles may have welded bodies, but there are still plenty of nuts in them.
This is all for this week Folks.
enjoy and God Bless!!!
