By Lois Lumbra — Thankfully we did not get all the snow and wind as was predicted, I did not hear one word of anyone being upset with what little snow we received, only is this the last of the snow. WHO KNOWS. It has been an unusual weather pattern all across the USA.
4/10. The 500 Card Club met at the home of Jeannette Sylvester’s in St.Albans and everyone came to have lunch first of all and then to enjoy dessert. During the afternoon there is always snacks, beverage to enjoy while playing cards. The high score for the afternoon went to Helen Parent (3960) and she was also a sub for Lois Lumbra; second high was Rita St.Onge (3750) and she was a sub for Lorraine Gillis..We all hope you are feeling much better Lorraine. Denise Baker and Jeannette were tied on horses and Denise won by a high card draw. Jeannette had low score (1070). I was told every one had a wonderful time and it was their first time playing 8 rounds since November. Thanks so very much Jeannette!!! The May meeting will be held at Lorraine Gillis home.
4/12..I accompanied our daughter Veronica DeSaintPhalle to St.Albans, they had an appointment at Handy’s to have their truck in for an oil change and tires rotated, etc. They have a service there instead of waiting for an hour or so in their waiting room they took us over to Walmarts so we could do our shopping and then they came and picked us up, we asked for an hour. When we returned the truck was all done waiting in the parking lot for us. Then we visited with Ray and Betty Courville at their home. Betty is doing great since her operation. Once we left there we went out to lunch at “Pie In The Sky” and enjoyed every delicious bite before heading back home. We had a wonderful Mother and Daughter time out.
4/14-16..Howard and Kathy King have enjoyed the weekend with their granddaughters Devon and Danielle Gamelin and great grand daughter Carter Mulville, all from Connecticut.
Merle and Linda Van Gieson received word that their Grandson Nathan Bushey (son of Charles and Karen Bushey of Huntington, Vt.) graduated Friday, April 13 at Boot Camp in the state of Georgia and went right from there to Aviation School in Alabama.

If my body were a car I would trade it in for a newer model. Why? Because every time I cough or sneeze my radiator leaks and my exhausts back fires.
Sound familiar? This is all for this week folks and I hope everyone has enjoyed the first few days of this new week and we all end up with some much warmer weather for the weekend.
