By Lois Lumbra — 5/20… We got some much needed rain today and during the night time it rained real hard at times. Its so nice to see all the greenery now after our long winter months. Friday, Maggie Elkins invited me to come with her to an Estate Sale on Enosburg Mountain Road as she has been looking for a bureau for her Granddaughter Emma Roger and she found just about everything on her list of items needed. We had to make a couple of trips to pick up things, and the last items were brought to her home by a friend Dan Malloy. We had stopped on our way coming home/down West Hill and told Dan about the sale as he likes getting video’s and CD’s. He went and found so many other things as well. Everything was so reasonably priced and if you thought it was too much, they were willing to make a good deal with you, they wanted to get rid of it ALL.
Marsha Phillips has returned home after a two week tour of a life time with Friends of Friends. There were 24 people in the group that went to Morocco. They started at Casablanca and their English speaking tour guide took them to different sites like Fes, and Marrakech during their two weeks. They all found it very interesting to ride camels from one destinations and stayed in tents over night in the Sarhara Desert, the next morning they rode camels to their next place to have breakfast and spend the day browsing, most places they visited were smells of fresh breads and other foods. Marsha said everyone had such a wonderful time and everyone was so agreeable to do things and this made it even more special. Jay Heaton from Burlington came along; Nancy Brady planned this whole tour, and it was nice to meet new friends; many people in our group were musicians and our evenings were full of entertainment. Marsha will have many memories from all the pictures she took. It was fantastic!!!
5/19.. I got up early to watch the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. IT WAS JUST BEAUTIFUL!!! The look on their faces were so filled with LOVE. When Prince Harry lifted her veil it was a spectacular moment seeing how they glazed in each other’s eyes. I can only wish them many years of LOVE and HAPPINESS. They are so deserving.
5/19.. Cynthia Tardiff (mother) and Rose Donna (grandmother) hosted a BABY SHOWER for daughter/granddaughter Ashley and hubby Warren Hostetter of Randolph, Vt. The shower was held at the United Methodist Church with Family and Friends coming to share in this couples expected joy. Ashley and Warren are proud to announce that they are having a daughter (Annabeth) due in August. Everyone had a wonderful time and Ashley and Warren received many nice gifts for Annabeth.

Maybe its true life begins at fifty but everything else begins to wear out, fall out or spread out. The 5 B’s of old age are baldness, bursitis, bifocals, bulges and bunions!
Hope you have a nice week and as I finish this up, the sun is peeking out.
