By Lois Lumbra — How about this gorgeous day, and to celebrate Father’s Day! Just a perfect day. Veronica DeSaintPhalle came over and visited with her Dad before dinner time, Penny also came up to visit with her sister and Dad. When I came home from Church it was nice having the girls here. Veronica had promised her husband that she would be home by 12:30 and did not stay for dinner. She had brought fresh strawberries for her Dad as this is the season for fresh strawberries. YUM-Yum!!

6/4… Several members of the Green Mountain Ruby Reds had made plans ahead of time to go to MIMO’S to have lunch and then go to the Essex Cinema to watch the movie “Book Club.” I hear the movie is great and humorous.

6/10… Saddness fall upon us once again, the passing of Stan Feldman, he had been ill for some time and was finally called home. A gathering of his Family and Friends attended the Committal Service that was held on Friday morning 6/15 at the Hill West Cemetery , here in Montgomery.

6/12… Maggie Elkins joined with her sisters Joanne Kane and Susie Ewins and brother-in-law Jimmy Adams for a wonderful day playing golf at the Enosburg Country Club.

6/12… The Montgomery 500 Card Club met at the lovely home of Sue Cherrier and John Wilson in the Deep Gibou. Several of us gathered before noon time and we had a chance to view Sue’s beautiful gardens. Once we were all present, Sue had prepared a delicious luncheon for all of us. While we were eating it became quiet for awhile. We were ready to start playing cards just before one. The afternoon high went to Denise Baker and she was training a new player her sister-in-law Debbie Chauvin (3390); second high was Carmen Scott (3320); low score was Sue Peters (950); most horses was a high card draw and the winner was our hostess Sue Cherrier. When we were done playing Sue had dessert for us, she had made rhubarb squares and a Strawberry pie. What a wonderful afternoon was enjoyed by all ..Thanks Sue!!

6/16… Trevor and Jodi Walker held a party for their son Connor, he graduates from the 8thgrade June 18th at Montgomery Elementary School and will be attending high school in the Fall. Connor has shown lots of responsibility for his age as you know I write about him often, he is an excellent sugar maker and also from the help of other Family members. He and his Father built a small sugar house in their back yard. The Bar-B-Que was enjoyed by family and many friends. Best Wishes to all our GRADUATES!!!

A Special Memorial Service was held this afternoon at the “Montgomery Center For The Arts” in memory of Andrew Massey. So sorry I missed this, but I send my LOVE to his Family!!!

Just a little reminder if anyone wants to join in our 4th of July parade, you are welcome and more details/info call Peg Doheny, 933-8561.
