By Lois Lumbra — 7/3/16. Its another cool day, with that wind whipping around, but more sunshine today than on Saturday. Been a busy weekend with lots of traffic going by.

Dylan Baker son of Dougie Baker and Becky Wheelock was home on leave from the Marine Base in North Carolina; and while he was here his Mother had the families come together to celebrate Dylan’s 21st Birthday at her home in Eden. Dougie, wants to Thank everyone that came and made this a very Special day for Dylan. Congratulations Dylan and Thank You for your service!!!

6/26-7/1/16, Connor Walker spent a week at the Green Mountain Conservation Youth Camp at Buck Lake in Woodbury, Vermont. This week long program is to educate our youth about the Natural Resources here in Vermont. They were taught ways of survival, camping out in the woods, hunting and fishing safety rules to remember, etc.

6/28/16, Grandparents Lynda and John Cluba have received word from their daughter Morgan that they now have granddaughter number three. Morgan and Anthony Gervais are proud parents to daughter…………. She was born on June 28th and was a bouncy 9 lbs. The couple reside in Seattle, Washington. Dylan Hoss a native of Montgomery was with Morgan during her delivery as a Doula. That is new to me (doula), it’s a person that has been trained in childbirth and is there with the mother-to-be to comfort and assist. (Love, Joy and happiness. Baby girls bring the best life has to give.) Congratulations to the new Parents and Grandparents!!!

7/2/16, A Service Of Christian Marriage was held at the United Methodist Church Saturday with Pastor Ed Sorrell officiating. Joining in marriage were Allen Hurlbert and Lucille Johnson. (see photo above) Cedric Lanphear brother of the bride walked his sister down the aisle as the wedding march was being played by Rod Sanborn. Joanne Lanphear sister-in-law of the bride was Maid-of-honor, best man was John Garrett Friend of the groom. A reception was held at Belvidere Center with everyone bringing pot-luck to share. The cake was absolutely beautiful and just as delicious!!! Everyone had a wonderful time and even though the weather was a little chilly with that cold wind, the bride and groom were happy and visited with their friends and danced their first dance as Mr. & Mrs. Allen Hurlbert, with friends joining them on the dance floor. DJ of the music was Bob Wagner from Bakersfield. Rod and Maryann Sanborn were in charge of the music during the Wedding Ceremony. Today July 3, Allen and Lucy brought wedding cake for our coffee and fellowship time after our Church Service to share with the Church Family. Thanks so very much!!!
