The Town passed the following article at Town Meeting 2017:
Shall the Town authorize the elimination of the elected office of Town Auditor, with future audits to be provided by a certified public accountant in accordance with 17 V.S.A. §2651b? Annual audits of Town accounts will be done by a certified public accounting firm and their reports will be posted on the web site and available at the Town Office.
Additional oversight is provided by the appointed Financial Controls Officer who will open and reconcile monthly bank statements, and review payment orders and report to the Selectboard.
