The Town of Montgomery is seeking public comments on the draft Local Hazard Mitigation plan.

The public comment period will run 10/13 through 10/27.  

A copy of the draft plan can be found on the NRPC website or click HERE to review the draft.

The purpose of the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan is to identify local natural hazards that are a threat to the community, and outline mitigation actions to reduce vulnerability to these hazards. Maintaining an updated Hazard Mitigation Plan is one of the four requirements for Emergency Relief Assistance Fund (ERAF) status and is an eligibility requirement to apply for Hazard Mitigation Grants.
