Drought Resources

As drought conditions continue in Vermont, the State has collected resources and information to share with people affected by the drought.

The Agency of Natural Resources (ANR) has created a web page with collected information and resources for people and businesses impacted by the drought.

Homeowner Resources

Recognizing a Low or Dry Water Supply: If your well or spring is beginning to go dry, you may notice a drop in water pressure, air bubbles in your water, or cloudy / sediment-filled water. For information on the health impacts of a dry well and to find short- or long-term solutions visit the Health Department’s Drought and Your Well web page or call 802-489-7339.

• Latest Vermont Drought Map from the US Drought Monitor.
• Private Well Drought Reports submitted to Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) by the public.
• Public Drinking Water Drought Reports submitted to Department of Environmental Conservation by the Vermont public water systems. Note: public water systems are not required to submit water use restriction reports to the DEC. The map may not represent all water systems with water use restrictions in place.
• Condition Monitoring Observer Reports submitted by the public to the National Drought Mitigation Center.
