NWSWD – Hazardous Waste Events 2024

    Please take notice: the PSB will be closed Tuesday 8/18 due to building maintenance. This closure will affect the Town Office & Library areas- please plan your visits accordingly.

  • Reminder: Special Town Meeting 8/17/2026

    Reminder regarding Town Office hours next week- the office will close early @ 3pm to setup Town Hall for the Special Town Meeting. Northwest Vermont Solid Waste Management District (NWSWD) is a legislatively chartered Municipal Corporation charged with planning, implementing, and regulating waste management strategies for member communities. Montgomery is a current member of this District.

NWSWD holds household hazardous waste collection events May-September in various participating district towns on a rotating basis. Events are open to all residents (no businesses, please) of Grand Isle and Franklin Counties.
