A decision has been issued by the Zoning Administrator for the following permit on 12-6-24 for Wyman
The Town of Montgomery in Franklin County is requesting proposals for brush-hogging and mowing services. These services would be under the guidance of the Montgomery Conservation Commission (MCC). The MCC is requesting a one-time brush-hogging service, with 4 successive mowing services following on the same footprint of the site to manage anticipated re-growth. Services are requested to start in Late April/Early May, if the seasonal high-water table permits. The Contractor could invoice after each service or wait until the end of the work period. The area is estimated to be five acres of direct treatment, and includes the path down to the field as well as select portions of the field. Not all of the field will need treatment because native trees are naturally re-establishing in parts of it. A portion of this field is also being planted with fruit and nut trees in May 2023. The location site will require the mowing of Japanese Knotweed, with due diligence necessary to prevent spread to and from the service site.
Interested parties should contact project manager Carissa Stein (802) 238-4361 for Contractor’s site assessment. A letter of interest should be sent to the Montgomery Town Clerk, P.O. Box 356, Montgomery Center, VT 05471 or by email to: municipalclerkmontgomery@gmail.com. Position open until filled.
