TAXES DUE NEXT WEEK 11/8 & GENERAL ELECTION DAY 11/5

IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR NOVEMBER 2024!

GENERAL ELECTION DAY IS NEXT WEEK! 11/5- Polls: 10a-7pm @ Town Hall- 57 Main street (*the town office will be closed 5th & 6th for Elections Management*)

TAXES ARE DUE 11/8- we will be open that Friday 9a-4p for tax collection. Payments received after 4pm on 11/8 are assessed Penalty (8% one-time fee) and Interest (1% monthly)

Please plan accordingly for both Election Day & your Final Tax Payment. Remember, the town office will be closed on Election Day while we are at Town Hall and the day after for reporting/post-election requirements-please use our Office Drop-box to submit tax/water payments on those closed days.

1. If you are planning to vote in person at Town Hall please come prepared by bringing the ballot that was mailed to you with you! This saves us all time and paper! [If you forget your ballot or you have lost it you will sign the Affidavit of Lost Ballot and be given a new one].
2. Polls are open from 10a-7pm @ the Town Hall, 57 Main Street. If you are dropping off your absentee ballot on November 5th please return it to an Election Official at the Town Hall.

1. *Please plan for your final Tax Payment! Taxes are due in full by 4pm November 8th 2024. We will be open on tax due day from 9-4.* Remember when our offices are closed on the day(s) we are administering Elections you can submit tax/water payments in our Office Dropbox located to the left of the front entrance at 86 Mountain Rd! Or pay online using our E-check or Credit Card features on our website: https://montgomeryvt.us/r/pay
